Re: Is boat theft a problem?

A mate had his boat pinched from Miss Davis bridge on the Tryweryn, having left it there whilst walking back to the top to get his car. There were lots of boaters around and other boats on the banks.

Re: Boating in Warrington area ?

Hey Dave, theres plenty of flat water paddling in Warrington but it's pretty easy to get to Wales/Lakes. Mile end mill at Llangollen is 45 minuites from door to on the water, nearer to theres Chester wier (playspot) or the Burrs (River Irwell). Local club Warrington CC is at Forton leisure centre 7....

Listening to Daz Clarkson with a slide show about some bonkers trip, setting the scene and talking about the background stuff that you dont think about. Then being approachable at the end answering even the daftest question without making anyone feel stupid. Having seen some slide show/ video expedi...

Re: Driving to Val d'Aosta

Yes easy doable on the tolls. I like the overnight ferries have used Portsmouth- Le-Havre and its good, sleep, up early and breakfast just befor dock then roll off on the road at 8.00 also closer than Calais for the Alps.

Re: Driving to the Alps

If you have plenty of time then relax and take back roads, if time is limited then pay. The toll roads are quick easy and plenty of stops for coffee n wee. I personaly just pay up and get it out the way with, I have wasted to much time messing about on back roads. If you tally up costs of toll and s...
