Mike Jones Rally Stickers 1981 and 1979

Anyone remember these or have a collection they want to complete? Happy to part with them - 1981 comes complete with well used Olymp V slalom boat, as I'm clearing out the garage!! :-) cheers Ed https://www.dropbox.com/s/9znaxkweo259bui/MJ%20rally%20sticker%201979.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/...

Re: Drysuit compare - Kokatat Idol vs Typhon Multisport Hinge

One concern I had was how long it would remain watertight. The last 2 Palm top of the range, breathable dry cags I've had, have both become damp cags over time and it feels like the waterproof layer is no longer working properly, although there are no obvious leaks or anything. It's good to hear use...

Re: Drysuit compare - Kokatat Idol vs Typhon Multisport Hinge

Thanks for the comments. Gareth - great feedback on the practicalities. Makes me wonder how the half on half off would work with the Kotakat where I think the zip is lower - the advantage being the top can be used as a stand alone cag if conditions don't warrant a full suit, but would presumably the...

Drysuit compare - Kokatat Idol vs Typhon Multisport Hinge

At over £1000 why would I buy the Kokatat Idol as opposed to the Typhoon Multisport hinge at about half that price? What are people's experiences using these two drysuits which both have waist zips. Is the Kokatat going to be that much better that it will outlast 2 Typhoons? Thanks in advance for al...

Re: For Sale Enigma plastic squirt boat

someone else's details of an Enigma:
http://www.apolloduck.com/image.phtml?id=204932&image=1

I would think 16st is on the large side for this boat, but if you can squeeze into it, the extra weight may enhance the squirt capabilities and allow mystery moves!

For Sale Enigma plastic squirt boat

Enigma squirt boat for sale. Yellow - not heavily used/usual scratches (nothing serious) and it has spent most of its life in my garage. Foam seat and foot rest block. It was fun when I first got it many years ago and I used it as a cruising squirt boat on white water and it also surfs pretty well. ...

Re: New Hydro Schemes on The Inn

The big rock in first and second picture is the one mentioned in the Rivers of Everest book where one padler (was it Mick Hopkinson) went between it and the vertical rock face. Scary. The third picture is a big hole a few hundred yards downstream known to Royal Navy paddlers as the Finstermonster. ...

Re: Briancon to Landeck

Agree - if you've got the time to stop and paddle on route, then our old stops used to be: Dora Baltea (lower and mid), Albula and, as already mentioned, the Swiss Inn (take your pick), but that might have been better from the Isere at Bourg St Maurice (which is worth a detour from Briancon). if no ...

Pyranha Z.one Large

For Sale Pyranha Z.one Large - used, but not extensively, so usual surface scratches. Orange and grey. Connect 30 fittings. See the Pyranha website for full descriptions. - It's a great alround boat, but I've decided I should not have got the Large, as it's a bit big for me and so I'm trading down t...

how do the Axiom and Z.one compare, advantages or disadvantages? To my mind they appear to be aiming at a similar space in the market, but what are the differences? Anyone tried both and have a preference and if so why?

Re: Dee-Humidifiers

We thought about lots of holes/screened vents and our neighbouring club have adopted that approach but with limited success, so I'm reluctant to start making too many holes if it's not going to work. Fans would obviously help (solarventi is a fan as well), but power is an issue hence the solar panel...

Re: Dee-Humidifiers

Has anyone used a solar de-humidifier or any experience of them (e.g. as supplied by http://www.solarventi.co.uk)? Clearly a green solution, but does it work sufficiently to dry club kit stored in a steel shipping container?

Cool, I want one!! - anyone know who imports these to the UK?

I've only ever seen the type with no forhead protection which seemed to be asking for trouble/frontal lobotomy if you hit rocks (surf or otherwise).

Topo Duo for sale

Top Duo for sale. Mint condition as never used in anger on white water. Reluctant to sell as it is just one of those boats a club should have, but it is not getting the use it should, so better going to a good home who will use it for what it is intended for - having fun! Had you gone into any of the exclusion zones? These are clearly set out by the Port of London Authority and are detailed on their website. No craft can go close to Houses of Parliament (Westminster side) nor the MI5 Building (Vauxhall). If you do - expect to be stopped/arrested.
