Thanks both.
South Wales is a little further to travel than I wanted and the Spud, while tempting isn't really what I'm after which is a boat to look after my somewhat inexperienced son while he bobs down the dart.
Anthing else out there?

Wanted: Old Prijon or Eskimo kayak
I'm after a decidedly old-school boat, ideally something like a Prijon Canyon i.e. fat and round! Even something unloved like a Gattino or Cerro or perhaps a Perception Phat... you get the idea.

Lift from central London to Oxford 12/9/16
I'm going to be paddling from Oxford to London with a Spanish friend. I'm looking for someone to run us back to Oxford on Monday 12 September.
The reason for posting here? Well as well as the two of us we'll also have an Aleut II double sea kayak!
Ideas? Offers?

Re: Kayaking around Ibiza Islands
In terms of prevailing winds, you need to particularly watch out for the Tramontana. If you read my other articles on Mallorca, Menorca and the Costa Brava http://www.hantstraining.co.uk/trips.html you'll see that all of them have been affected one way or another by this wind. You don't want to get ...

Re: History of Slalom boats
Apollo was set up by Nick Pink after he left Gaybo Even less well known would be Panza Mouldings set up in the late 70's/early 80's by another ex-Gaybo employee, Doug Ray. If anyone has a Myth they should hang it on a wall as it may well count as the rarest slalom kayak ever, it was probably the slo...

Re: Northern Spain??
Whoops, just read the original question a tad more carefully. I was referring to Eastern Asturias & Cantabria - essentially a "return paddle" to Santander. The Galician coastline is much more affected by tidal currents. Locally known as the Costa da Morte or Costa de la Muerte! It is exposed Again t...

Re: Northern Spain??
Hi Steve It's a stunning coastline with a very high density of caves, coves & small islands. While clearly tidal there aren't huge tidal currents to worry about which makes planning easier. That's the good news - the bad news is that even in the Summer it can get b....dy rough and there are few if a...

Re: History of Slalom boats
Great fun
Also missing I believe & made by Gaybo/designed by Prijon would be the Olympia - an Isere with a different/more shapely deck and the rare Olympia S a higher-volume "contemporary" of the more popular Olympia H. The S is probably my fave boat of all time - anyone out there still have one?
