Talk about 'epic' journeys, this attempt to paddle from California to Hawaii in a sea kayaks sounds one hell of a challenge! Puts my pootling about on the east coast to shame!

Much as I can understand the call of a paddling trip... Do not do it. Rivers aren't going anywhere and you'll only get one chance to be there for your first.
