Wavesport Recon 83 Hornet

In very good condition, 3 years old - used perhaps 20 times, selling through lack of opportunity for use. Stored out of the sun, and no repairs. A few surface scratches, but otherwise, still lots of the boat is shiny like new. There could be a bit of mud inside from use coaching! Incredibly comforta...

Sounds like the white on black microfiches in the National Library need trawling (sorry) for info about the free port. I'll have a look the next time I've got time in Aberystwyth!

Re: A Caffyn type document?

Ah, Gwynedd do have a commercial license for providers on Padarn. Not aware of anything on the sea, apart from on National Trust sites which is a bit different, but still wrong. I would think they should view non motorised vessels differently? There are some policies on page 33 & 34 here that might ...

Re: A Caffyn type document?

Do they provide something that only kayaks make use of? i.e. a facility specific for kayaks? (I'm guessing I know the answer). Gwynedd Council removed the charges for kayak launching on Llyn Padarn because it was not acceptable to charge for a facility i.e. car parking and then charge a single user ...

Re: Important changes to access in Wales

It's probably important to put some context into why this review is taking place. Apologies for it being a long winded response. When WCA put the petition into the National Assembly back in 2009, it was the largest single petition ever received by the committee. The petitions committee responded wit...

Surely the minimum is the point where you can demonstrate you are safe?

It might be worth having a read of the latest update from Canoe Wales on the supervisory award being rolled out.

Canoe Wales has been working with Snowdonia National Park Authority to resolve some of the issues on this section. It has taken the best part of 4 years.

Part one of the infrastructure has gone in, and there are a couple of extra's coming too.

There will be an "official" press release shortly.

Re: Developments with Gyrodactulys parasite in Norway

Beating GS is really important. Along with other critters like Dikerogamma Villosus (Killer Shrimp). Whilst it won't help in Norway, where the control mechanisms will be decided locally it's worth noting that Canoe Wales (and BCU) worked with DEFRA to agree the principles of disinfecting PPE (PFD, H...
