I have paddled the Hobson Apex and Mega Banshee back to back, Both were virtually exactly the same in performance, paddling out and catching waves..it was small surf at the time..subtle differences between them were the Apex was more tippy at first, which was easily overcome after 10mins or so! but ...

Yeah! just got a new Banshee myself...it does feel like a longer WW boat..but with the performance of a pedigree surf boat..probably easier to roll than a Necky too! and much easier to catch waves and paddle out..and very stable while waiting for waves unlike some similar boats out there..

Hi, The kind of boats you have mentioned are not really that good for the surf..there are better ones out there..like a Pyranha Inazone, Pyranha I 3, Most things Riot and Dagger..older boats do better in the surf..particularly when you are starting off..when you have got better then most guys move o...

Hi Ed! Still got it, but decided to keep it! After seeing other boats out there..the juice is made from Bomber plastic and really comfortable compared to other ones Ive tried..
