Re: Dagger Nomad deck advice

I had the same issue, i think part of the problem is the cockpit rim design as the water around the rim cannot drain away so your constantly sat in a puddle.
I used a snap dragon deck which is great on every other boat i have owned but very wet on a nomad.
Sorry i cant offer a solution.

I am certain the BBC wont headline an Australian kayakers tragic death in Nepal but personally its more significant and relevant to me than 90% of their content.

Re: BC's new Access Charter

Having paddled for 20yrs I would make several observations... If you abide by signs saying no canoeing then those placing the signs will have no interest or need to discuss the matter. European fishermen happily share the rivers. The BCU try and good on them but I am not aware that they have made ch...

Re: New access charge for the Dee???

I understand the issue with the carpark being used by non customers but if me the wife and kids go for a coffee and our bill is £12 before we order anything I would go elsewhere.

No boat is designed with an undulating bottom, its what happens to older boats that have had a hard life.
It will effect the boats performance personally I would look elsewhere.

Re: Broken nerve

We all have self doubt and come through it in different ways.
My advice would be to have a 1 to 1 with a coach ideally one that you don't know and doesn't know your peers.
Hopefully a new prospective on your paddling will improve your ability, confidence and put a smile on your face.
Keep paddling!

Re: Your best cock-up (not carnage)

I clambered over the central rock at the bitches to drop onto the play wave and dropped my boat into the pool only to see it skip around the corner and shoot off downstream without me.
Luckily someone rescued it for me.

Re: Your three fave rivers...

Crumbs so difficult.... Brendon/ Lyn, it just gives so much and to finish in the sea is special. Zambezi, just amazing, each huge rapid is followed by a pool allowing you to nervously count down the rapids...its truly amazing. And i cant pick a third from this lot......plym, wolfunshlutz, egua, driv...

Re: Difference between Stout + connect river

I think stout is the latest design of connect + for the internal fittings and is the top end spec rather than the cheaper more basic club spec.
Hence a lot of connect + fitted boats are reduced...but i could be wrong I'm sure someone will confirm.

Waka OG reviews

Looking for a new boat, can any OG paddlers give me a review. I have spent a week in the Tuna 1 which i enjoyed but looking at the specs the volume of the OG looks huge.
Im 6ft and 86kg. Also is there anyway to demo one at CIWW?
Cheers.

Yes i would, but I'm not sure how that helps you make the decision whether YOU should. My point being its down to your ability and confidence. Often when i paddle solo i feel nervous for the first few 100 metres before relaxing and enjoying it so expect a few nerves, they keep us safe. My advice wou...
