I can't see that it matter that much, its not like you are going to sink just 'cos a few bubbles have burst. There are time when a little less buoyancy is desirable anyway.

fabric socks: uncomfortable as they have stiff seam due to the tape welding. very short life expectancy, typically 5 days use difficult to repair BUT under the 'control' of the manufacturer, ie no third part components. latex socks: 3D versions, moulded to foot shape, comfortable with correct usage ...
