Re: The Weekend Adventurer
Driving 4hrs to Devon / S Wales / N Wales / Some other exotic location in the UK when there just so happens to be no water to go paddling, end up walking or scraping down a river, but still gloating to work colleagues you had a weekend away kayaking, is usually how it works out.

Reed vest decks are a very popular choice and are very good at keeping water out, but pricey.

I'm selling an Eskimo Kendo. A little older than those you've listed, but its very similar and a very good boat, with room to grow in to as well.

I'm selling my beloved Eskimo Kendo to make space. This was my first ever kayak and it will be sad to see it go, but I know it can give a lot of enjoyment to a new owner. Re: Food for multi-day trips
The best meal of this type that I've had recently was a just add water and boil 5 bean chilli I found in Morrisons, along with a boil in the bag portion of rice. I can't remember the manufacturer name I'm afraid, it came in a white packet and was endorsed by a famous chef and was part of a range of ...

FS: Revenge Nitro Micro Canoe Polo kayak
Selling my beloved Revenge Micro Nitro polo boat. Pre-preg cabon/kevlar construction, she's served me well over the years. Its Well used and has the scars to show for it. There's a few cracks on the front deck and hull as well as a few soft spots and leaks, hence why I'm asking for just £150 for it....

Room wanted Surrey/Hampshire
Bit of a long shot, but I'm in need of somewhere to live in the Farnborough area on the Surrey/Hampshire border, and a paddler friendly house would be ideal. So if anyone has a spare room available for rent please do get in touch.
I'm 30yrs old, clean, tidy and respectable.
Many thanks
Paul.

Re: travelling to Briancon by plane train
If you're able to get a flight to Grenoble, there's a shuttle bus (or used to be) that goes from the airport directly to the train station in the city, from where you can catch a direct train to Briancon (or may have to may a change at Gap)

Mega hip pads
Years ago I remember you could get hip pads that were self adhesive, I think with the name Mega. They were really good, but I'm wondering if its still possible to get hold of them anywhere? Have tried searching all the usual stores on line but nothing really comes close.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Lift share offered/wanted - Hampshire to North Wales
Weekend of 14/15/16th Feb.
Log shot I know, but is anyone else making this journey to north Wales on the Friday night and back again on the Sunday? I'd be keen to hear from anyone that has a spare seat or also requires a lift.

As a group you don't seem very organised, perhaps you've not paddled together much and haven't built up an understanding of how each person works within the team? Just being more organised and running the river as a team would be my only suggestion. For example, The first rapid on the vid you get in...

Re: Secret Society Canoe Clubs
Have you considered that the club you've been in contact with doesn't run trips as one of it's main activities? Canoe clubs can only offer so much to it's members (and prospective members), and the main things of the programme will be what those members want. Unfortunately this may not be the same a...

Ran this yesterday and there are 2 sizable trees next to each other accross the whole river and must be portaged. I can't remember the exact location as this was my first time on the river but roughly it was about half way down, just before a couple of bends and before the river splits in to 3 chann...

Re: Advice on travelling with a kayak
Buying a car or van in NZ is dead easy and is certainly a viable option if you're there for a few months. Be warned though, the time you're heading out there and back again is the same time as a lot of other travellers who will also be looking for their own vehicles. So the price you buy for will be...

The Leeds to Amsterdam leg of the flight will be on a small aircraft (don't know the exact aircraft type) so there may be issues with actually fitting a boat on the plane.

Try Reading Uni Canoe Club.
They do more of what you're after and there should be some folk hanging around in Reading this summer, as well as all their old gits.
