Re: perception expression

Thanks, will try the shops youy mentioned, i don't want or need a full on sea kayak, over the top for my needs and anyway i don't have a beard, i think the 14 footers are ideal for coastal pottering.

Re: What to look for?

I'm trying to get a demo of the Whisky 16 myself, certainly looks a sexy boat, hope it paddles well, Mr Foster tells me i'll like it but i didn't get on with his previous designs like the Echo and Legend, way too tippy for me.

Re: Rudder , Skeg or Nothing

I like the idea of nothing at all and most of the time this would be fine, and the kayaks i've owned are fairly managable without the skeg deployed, but sometimes its just easier and less effort to stick a small amount of skeg down in certain conditions, i'm no purist, on the flip side i've hired ka...

New short sea kayak

I'm getting one of these to replace my Alchemy, I've got a preference for the shorter sea kayaks having paddled the likes of Aquanauts etc, finally a proper short sea kayak rather than a glorified touring kayak.

If these people are found then maybe they would like to meet some people whose lives have been saved or the familys of people who have been lost, maybe try and educate them, but can you educate people without brains? probably not.

Re: Which boat to choose?

I think Northshore WERE selling a rebadged Valley Aquanaut sport as the Atlantic sport ? the new Atlantic Rm is a plastic version of the glass Atlantic with a LV Rm version ( shoreline) coming out soon, The Aspect is a shoter version of the Atlantic and competes with kayaks like the Dagger Alchemy..

Re: Which boat to choose?

Theres a new plastic kayak from Northshore called the Aspect, looks like a great sea tourer, just under 15 ft with a proper sea kayak bow rather than the wet riding things you see on most tourers, i'll be getting one.

Re: Kids paddles

Thanks for the reply, the length is the one thing i'm not sure about, i paddle a 210 myself on a touring kayak so was assuming something more like 200 max, the front end of the sit on is quite narrow.
