Flat water coaching
A teacher approached me the other day and asked what would he need to do to enable him to coach at a couple of venues (Llyn Brenig and Marine Lake (Rhyl)). Obviously the route to a the UKCC Level 2 Coach is one (long) option. Are there any other options open to him? I remember going to a CW coaching...

If you leave the parcel shelf in you can store a lot of stuff over your legs too.Jim wrote: and then rest gets stacked up behind the drivers seat.

The sofa was an interesting surprise. It's on the lead in to Bethesda falls but easy to paddle around.

Accommodation for Tyne Tour
A couple of us are thinking of heading to the Tyne Tour on the way back from Scotland and looking for relatively cheap accommodation that provides bedding. I've been struggling to find anywhere by searching Google etc. Does anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks, Carl

If you're not familiar with a life hack, Google it. Two kayaking related ones I've noticed today: https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/1016835_10151728964680349_1933726312_n.jpg Innertube boat straps https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/61399_10151728964480349_105...

Re: Over thruster
I'm a massive cheap skate, part of the problem is that you don't need extra volume you need to stop loosing the volume you've got by a loose deck. Try this: https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/998052_10151717129495349_348413445_n.jpg Remember, I'm a person you don't know off the i...

Re: Tree in the Ogwen
Looks likes someones had a go at some of the longer branches, still plenty of tree left there to cause a problem though. Again, it's on the "lower ogwen" so unless you intending to paddle to the sea not really a problem.

The public right of way along the river only starts down stream of the bridge. So according to the OS map there is no public right of way from the river to the estate car parking near Lowri's house.

Photo/Video ownership question
I've put the question in a generic context, although this has actually happened. Paddler A owns a Go-Pro which is attached to Paddler B's helmet. Paddler A is using a Go-Pro remote to take still photos while Paddler B runs the gnar and brown claws for Britain. Does Paddler A or Paddler B own the cop...

5 Star Assessment (IK) rivers
While paddling down a high-medium Ogwen on Wednesday I was thinking to myself that I'd find it very difficult if on a five star assessment. After sharing this thought with my peers there was some confusion as to whether the the river at that level be in or out of remit for the assessment. So can any...
