Re: Karitek Roofracks & Bongo campervans

Hello Hugh I have a Bongo with Karitech fitted. Roof still goes up ok with rack fitted. Maybe worth checking roof mounting points (on the van,not rack) and Aralditing them in if need be, mine were loose! Downside is if you are roaming around its a bit of a pain to unload the boats everynight night a...

Re: Qaarsut 5.0^

Hello I have a Quarsut 5.0 without skeg and use it mainly as a play boat for rockhopping/surf play days although it will do the miles if required, but its not a Nordy. I think its great for manouvering and responds well to edging in and around the rocks. No problem in a rough sea. In my humble opini...

Had the same problem so cut and shape some foam for the backstrap to sit on to stop it slipping down under your arse (rubber bands were to hold together whilst the glue dried.

Gary I've got the same aspirations. I plan to get hold of an old, knackered 80's surf shoe and rip off the design, tweeking it to my preference. Probably totally illegal but hey ho.I plan to make it with cedar strip rather than ply so will totally destroy the old shoe. Hope this helps and post a pic...

Hello Zoe I got myself an IC- M71 when I needed a replacement. It fits nicely in my bouyancy aid pocket upright. I thought I'd spend the extra pennies on a quality piece of kit as I sold it to myself that it needs to work when ultimately required. I don't use it in a bag , and it's open to dunkings....

Dances with Waves

Can anyone help me get a copy of 'Dances with Waves' by Brian Wilson. I've just read 'Blazing Paddles' and really enjoyed it. Amazon haven't got it in stock neither have O'Brien Press,Knoydart etc. Happy to buy it used if anyone's got one to sell.
Cheers
