Re: Alps conditions

The levels are all looking good, there were paddlers on the middle Guil on Wednesday and we rafted triple steps to the get out with 2 portages. Did the upper Ubaye yesterday and the level was good , Still plenty of high level snow to keep the river fed for a while yet.

If they were insured for the roof, yourgear I imagine would have been contaminated if it was underneath the fallen roof, it may have been removed by he demolition company? If I was you I would pursue it further as yyou were effectively denied access to remove your gear, worth a few questions There ...

Thanks for the info guys, looks Like I must have made a mistake, I decided to go the jsinsurance as I could find any bad reviews but when I check the quote again it had risen to over £75! so I wont be using them after all. Even Coverforyou is now quoting £30 - I must have been having a bad day when ...

Short of buying it from the Authors - if you want to support kayaking buy your books from kayaking shops. It won't get much more to the authors but it will keep kayak shops pottering along nicely. :-) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

I think CW should look at improving their admin before staring to look at adding a new set qualification, I know Val works hard at it but having to wait 12 weeks for my CCUK level 2 paper work is a bit much I think. I like a lot of coaches gave up when the new CCUK course started and I am having to ...

Re: Conwy Canoe Access Egress Signage North Wales

The Rhydlanfair Bridge cafe is very kayaker friendly, does a great bacon & egg Barm and is now offering Bunk house accommodation during the winter with drying room and your own river access. So if you park in the lay-by try and support her.

What do you really want paddlers to do in support of this river access mess? I did not get the impression from Richard's post that he was asking paddlers to support this new access agreement, only to support Ashley fight to get good access for all. Richard can you clarify your stance on this (non) ...

I have just made a set of splits https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=379134705465686&l=b2fac9e243 The downside is you need a screwdriver to put them together, but I expect most people carry a multi-tool anyway. The screw going all the way though the outer sheath should make them much stronger as...
