MATT P... Be very careful keeping the paddle float inflated between your knees... When upside down the inflated paddle float will want to go up and trap your legs.... This slipway Jim? Sailed from here back to Arasaig a great change to paddling. The port control were very helpful and even warned us of the steep ramp but we found it ok even with a dinghy. a friend of mine does swim coaching in the lake and takes the temperature every day...........
Coniston is colder.... dont ask me why it just is....... :o)

Windermere was 13 degrees last monday, bit cooler now cause of fresh rain.....

once you have sussed the roll go and play in surf its the best place to learn to roll in anger and relatively safe, you could always push off the bottom if all else fails.......

yes... you never know when you need......... it broken paddle stuck up against a rock and like me cant roll on my best side as my shoulder falls out so have to roll on the other.......

Learning to roll with the pawlata roll is the easiest way and then move on to the screw roll etc....and
not in a short river boat as they spin

Big Ade.. the dipping knees actually comes through good body rotation... your power from your paddles has to transfer to the boat some how and pushing on your legs and through your back rest is a good way to get max power its also a relaxing paddle stroke once you get into it as you are using your h...

Simon Westgarth.... Im pretty sure the Panasonic lumix is the exact same camera just badged differently. The Lumix is about £100 cheaper
