Extra Long Roof Bars / Extending ???

I'm after some extra long/wide roofbars for a new vehicle. Longest I've been able to find is 130cm without going for industrial/van type ones. Ideally something shaped like the Thule Aero/Wingbars would be a preferred shape, but not so fussed. Has anyone any experience of modifying a set of bars? Ar...

Re: Price of Kayaks?

I think the problem is the other way around in all fairness. The problem isn't the RRP of the boats, it's the expetance of the paddlers out there and there mentality especially the 10% discount demand!!! You go into any sport which involves a piece of equipment to be ridden/driven and buy top of the...

Also the wave literally a few yards from the get in is it still there? I made it last year with a few boulders everytime I went up before they switched on the water? Was last time I was there. Sweet little wave that Nick, cheers bud. I've not been to the Washburn since fall 2012, great place to kee...

Re: Spray Decks

Immersion Research for sure. I wouldn't consider anything else now for a deck, as it performs, is durable and dry. Though if I was on more of a budget, or one deck for all, Playboater Workdeck.

Re: The 'tougher' Lake Disctrict runs

I was in Scandale last year and there was quite a bit of tree work in there. For me, with the likes of Scandale, Logan, Torver, Grizedale and one or two others is that "I've done them" with memories of heavily tree infested with numerous portages, (some easier than others) and not in a rush to retur...

Ran this twice over the last month, once at 0.6 on the gauge, and another time at around 1.1 on the gauge. Never ran it prior to this, and what an under rated run it is! Loads of fun, Grade 2/3 all the way, with one gorge that I'd put at 3+ in the high water. The tree before the wooded gorge is ther...

Some of us enjoy paddling in Pink... just saying. Now if someone can find me a pink spray deck I can ask Santa for for christmas, I'd be a very happy girl. Here is my friend - he's a man, but he's wearing a pink spraydeck. Get in touch with phoenix who make a load of different spraydecks for loads ...

Re: "Listen Love."

Have you heard of a phenomenon called 'selection bias'? It's where you only choose the images of kit that suit your argument ;) You might also like to post some of your views on a website called Jezebel. If you do it nicely, they might post the very small pieces they tear you into back to your mum!...

Re: LEAD MINES CLOUGH

Hey Gaz, I guess by 'bottom drop' that's the 25ftish drop??? There is a tree at the bottom of it as well now which adds an added danger. Whilst that is in there, it;s not even worth contemplating. The bottom drop, which splits around a rock then off a 6ft vertical drop is pretty sweet. Rocks aren't ...

Re: British Triple Crown

However we're stuck on England. Cauldron Snout is epic, but I'd personally call it a long feature rather than a real river. Anyone got any ideas of what could be comparable to the Goedal/Bruar in terms of what we've said we're looking for? I'd agree with Couldron. Whilst Goedal is a proper 'river' ...
