Wave Sport Diesel 60, whitewater spec, small person kayak

Wave Sport Diesel 60, whitewater spec, ratchet backrest adjustment and full plate footrest. This is an excellent Creek Boat for a small paddler (27 - 64 kg). The boat has had very light use and looks brand new. It has none of the usual scratches, no dents or deformation of the hull. It has been stor...

Classic Green SPUD (Topilino) - Free

I just found this classic green Spud in the back of my garage, I thought I'd sold it about ten years ago! The boat is well used and has seen some action, but is sound. There is a small crease in the nose, which has been thee for most of it's life. The boat hasn't been used for about 20 years and has...

Re: River Dart weirs

The warning over the weirs is still valid, the weir near Buckfastleigh still has concrete and metal in it. This doesn't mean its unrunnable, just get out, inspect and make your own judgement. If in any doubt portage.

I've just added a Map to the guide guessing the putins and takeouts from the description. Can you really kayak through Sellafield?

Re: Sea kayaking on south coast

I would recommend getting a copy of "South West Sea Kayaking" https://www.pesdapress.com/index.php/product/south-west-sea-kayaking/ The author Mark is a local paddler, he also created this web site. As mentioned above, there are strong tides around Old Harry, this also applies to Peveril P...

Re: River Avon Access war

The photo in the article is on the tidal section just south of the western of the two bridges next to the Castle, this is the site of the illegal sign which has now been removed, the NTL is marked just north of the A35. Unfortunately SUPs have been an issue in the harborough this year as a local SUP...

Re: River Avon - Avon Tyrell to Christchurch Harbour

I have noticed in the objections to the planning consent that there is some confusion over the location of the Normal Tidal Limit (NTL). At least one suggested it is the A35 bridge, (the location of the red signs earlier in this thread), but the majority believe it is the Water Works weir. If you do...

Hello, I am sorry that any person felt uncomfortable, however being involved in acts of trespass often cause people who have paid a great deal of money to be there legally, to protect it. It is a shame that you do not wish to share our river heritage and feel it should only be enjoyed by those with...

Should his land be an SSSI then you could be committing a criminal offence by landing/standing on it, something fishermen are excluded from by an act of parliament. That’s interesting and I haven’t come across this before. Have you got a reference for it? Further down the Avon, the river north of t...
