Tyne Tour gig 2015

I work within the music industry in the north east and regularly organise gigs around the are. I was wondering what the interest would be in a gig put on in Hexham for the Tyne Tour in 2015?

Would anyone be interested and what style of bands would be preferred?

Re: Where did all the banter go?

Lol some very good points there. never did understand the obsession with filming every second of your weekend to make into a home movie with the view of becoming "famous" I was generally always too busy kayaking to be that bothered about getting out and setting up cameras and stuff. Isn't that why w...

Re: Dopes on ropes

back in 2005 i witnessed the famous rescue rangers live bait for a paddle. this was just above a huge catchment pool and only after they had thrown 2 bags at the paddle. Cant understand why the paddle didn't grab the ropes lol. The kayaker was fine and had exited the river above the grade 3 rapid. T...

Re: Where did all the banter go?

I have been known to partake in some mountain biking but couldn't bring myself to put on spandex and jiggle my butt up and down the street. I don't think i would enjoy road biking either

Re: Where did all the banter go?

I think that the fact UKRGB is still alive and well, all be it slightly different in content than before I left the site is testament to the fact that there is room in this busy social media world and sites like Facebook etc. have their place but are of no direct threat. I just remember the good old...

Where did all the banter go?

I have been off the scene for a long time (nearly 7 years) but on return to UKRGB there seems to be a distinct lack of the banter and funny threads that entertained me so much in previous years. can some one not just start ripping on Dan Heyworth or something lol (dan i love you man)

Re: Grading discussion: Swale

Considering that the Swale is one of the fastest raising rivers in the UK (can flood within an hour) and many of you agree that in spate conditions that this can be graded as a 5 then surely it is in the interest of safety to grade it as a 5?

Re: Has the bottom dropped out of the second hand kayak mark

Recently I have been looking for a second hand boat for my girlfriend. This has proven to be somewhat of a difficult task considering that she is only just getting into kayaking and we dont want to spend a great deal on it. We decided to look for something along the lines of a H3 or an M3 both of wh...

Might be something to do with the upcoming olympic event in london considering its all of team GB. Also sprint marathon paddlers are just like rowers in terms of personal floatation and dont require it.

Re: Medium Burn or similar WANTED

Hi, thanks for all the replies. I am definitely looking for a boat with a flat hull so unfortunately the jefe is out. we are looking to spend no more than £300 and as long as its not got any splits in the hull we are not too bothered about age and condition
