Re: India Fight's ?

There are a few threads on UKRGB about India/Nepal flights, worth a look. I have used Air India a couple of times and never had a problem (most recently autumn 2012). They also have a generous 45kg to India or 35kg to Nepal. Jet have changed their baggage policy in summer 2012 which specifically sta...

Re: Stickers!

Tom,

Most sign maker shops will do vinyl sticker cutting, there are a couple on infirmary road. Try them, might save p&p.

Re: India Advice

If you read it in full, it's $150 except for London where its £150. Booked with Air India, didn't have any problems with them in the past, and they don't have any specific policy against oversized baggage. I'm heading out 3rd October for just over a month, I'm alone for first few weeks if anyone els...

Re: India Advice

I'm just looking at buying flights to Nepal for a few months time and have been looking at Jet and Air India as I have taken kayaks with both before with no problems. (similar experience to above, being ferried through to an empty check-in desk and not had the boats weighed) Jet seems to have change...

Lost coat at tyne tour

Blue Berghouse Goretex jacket with alpkit torch in pocket. Left on chair in the phoenix pub on Friday night and not there at the end of the night.
Assume that it was picked up by mistake.

I would like it back if anyone has it.

Thanks

Re: Indian Airlines - kayaks?

I flew with Indian Air and Air India (same company, just different names for long/short-hall flights) to Nepal a few years ago and easily the easiest trip with kayaks I have ever had. Friendly staff took us to the front of the queue, didn't even try to weigh the boat before insisting on carrying it ...

Re: Weirs - general guidelines / schematics wanted

Borrow a copy of Franco Ferrero's White Water Safety and Rescue - its full of all the info your asking for. All the images from the book (including diagrams of weirs, images of the lower otez weir etc.) can be downloaded from here , but you will need the book to make sense of the images. (and its a ...

Vw T4 Transporter Camper Conversion for sale

I'm posting for a friend: I am regrettably selling my T4 conversion as I’m traveling around the world at the end of March! It is a 1995 2.4 diesel, 140,000 miles on the clock, MOT until October and taxed until end of July. It has recently had a replacement engine (which only had 88,000 miles on it) ...

I've done many long distance journeys between Sheffield, Exeter and Brighton with both my Project and a Lil' Joe and never had any problems with taking the boat. Most long distance trains have a guards wagon at the opposite end of the train to 1st class which has plenty of room. Other local trains u...

Maybe a permanent sticky topic in the for-sale forum where people can post a picture and description of any stolen boats would be useful. Then everyone could search the topic before buying a boat.

I know Yorkshire Water wont let people paddle on Ladybower. Give it a try, worse case scenario you get asked to get off.
