Peak UK Big Deck

Peak UK big deck. I have just had to bin my peak UK Big Deck. The triangular reinforcement patches around the rim of the deck seem to have just concentrated wear into the areas of neoprene around the edges of the patches and the neoprene has developed multiple holes/areas of weakness. It may be a po...

Re: River Dee - Ty Mawr Country Park to Overton Bridge

Paddled it on 1st Jamuary, very high, very fast, great fun. But NB: major maintenance work on the railway viaduct, scaffolding and floating pontoons block all or most of the river and if there is a through route there maybe cables in mid air linking thepontoons on either side. INSPECT! We portaged o...

Re: Campsite recommendations within striking distance of Llangollen Cana

if you drop down onto the montgomery canal at lower frankton locks you will come to a basin and public carpark in a couple of hundred yards and wild camping is ok on the adjacent ground. It is also possible to acquire a key to the mobile loo from canal rivers trust i think. on a separate note you wi...

stating the obvious but google will show relevant books. An old edition of the BCU Handbook had pictures of a modified paddle which essentially had a plate mounted on the shaft to which the hand was strapped to give the push and pull actions..

Re: Help choosing the right kayak

Usual advice is to check out your local club, likely to have a range of boats for members to hire and offering coaching/leadership for novices. Even if you dont do this "try before you buy" is a good principle. Look at ex demo models from shops.

Maybe a machno?

just to add that, assuming your club knows you are an individual member of BC, your club membership fee is retained in full by your club. I.e.there is no capitation fee payable by your club in respect of BC members on its renewal of affiliation each year.

According to the karritek website Code EL1300-FK37-2 is for mounting on crossbars. so if you are buying this product you will need some sort ofo crosss bar system. Talk to an accountant. Your tax bill will increase noly if and so far as you make profits. Gross receipts do not equal profit. The Boat is now open for business again and paddlers are welcome to use the overflow car park whilst running the river. ..Please keep cars to a minimum and launch/land at the front door of the pub rather than by the overflow car park. The beer is excellent! So is the food!
