Less than 30 people have paddled round mainland Britian. Some of those mentioned above missed out the Mull of Kintyre. Some were trail blazzers and if anybody is intrested it is a fantastic trip to do. Why stand on Everest when you can paddle around a stunning coast line.

Mike If you want to do some training here against the tide in London, the tidal Thames is ideal for building stanimia, skill and confidience, I am happy to train with you. UK circumnavigation is an excellent trip, you have time enough to train hard and do a respectable time or even go and break that...

I reckon you have a few options. If your going to push it in all weathers and use a boat with a skeg go for an Explorer. Explorers are reasonbaly fast and excellent in rough water. Yep, we have a fleet of Horizions here in central London on the tidal Thames, which we use with young people and adults and they work well in tidal water,. My colleauge added a skeg which can help however overall I am impressed.

I ment the Lettmann wing shape, I have tried the nord medium size today and find them hard work but they have made me keen to keep at them, my wrist feel tired however its a good work out, have not got that feeling from euro blades ever.

How could you stoop so low to slag somebody off.

It does distract from the point that no matter how shit you are, the liciencing fee that we pay for, turns out records holders who cant paddle straight ( even if they are left handed) or use a spray deck........what a joke

Selsey Bill / Chistester Harbour. As long as the wind is in the right direction they can be excellent locations. Also under London bridge with a ebbing tide and a strong easterly wind, however you have to be ultra ultra ultra careful as you can get run over by bigger river traffic or end up annoying...
