Re: Zet kayaks

Yeah I paddled it, nice and shrunk for the smaller paddler but still maintaining its length and girth. Great for getting through dark holes and running the stout. Personally i felt the flat hull tripped on eddy lines unless you carved it around the turn. Resurfaced well, great for the lighter paddle...

Sho-gun or Powerhouse

Had a pair of Shoguns for a while and fractured the blade, repaired it and bust it again. Broke them from a straight knock to the tip of the bladeSo which is stronger the power house carbons or the shoguns? Do Werner replace the blades? Your thoughts please.

Cheers

Re: Small Van for Kayaking

Transit connects very good van great to drive and sturdy. I can get 42mpg average on a tank if your sensible. normally 30mpg area. Remember they are basically a box travelling at speed so are not areodynamic. Get a tdci one if you do as has more oomph. I find berlingos partners etc a tad small and c...

Re: Out fitting a van

Hi done a few vans out now, still struggle with boats inside as they bring in damp and dirt. You can get better results if you try to forget about them and focus on the camper style. Did mount a boat rack on the back doors of a tranny once which worked very well. CAMPER VAN LIFE has some good tips.

Re: Take the pain out of a boat carry!?

Hey check out the rainchasers carry system as featured in canoe kayak magazine when Mr Dave Burne went to Cali creeking did a load of big walkins. Affordable well made and don't absorb water. http://www.rainchasers.com/rainchasing-blog/losing-my-cherry.html http://www.rainchasers.com/carrier-system....

Re: river nith, midnight paddler.

Hey just a point of view we have all paddled at night in various levels. But considering that folks houses are underwater in Cockermouth, Keswick etc. Entire teams of rescuers are doing 24 hour shifts in bad conditions. The last thing they need is a kayaker paddling at night on a river in full spate...
