Re: New Valley Nordkapp Forti?^

Hi All, Just thought I would give some information from the horse’s mouth. The Hull on the new Forti is, as close to the original NordKapp, as humanly possible. The deck layout, hatches, cockpit etc. are obviously based on our newer models BUT deck heights, seat position (i.e. the balance of the kay...

Re: Brookbank Perth to Re Open under new Ownership

Great news for Cam and the Boys, Brookbank Perth was definitely one of the best in the group. Although the information released shows a new limited company, I believe Pyranha are very heavily involved, behind the scenes, Go-Kayaking being one of their brands. I’ve no problem with that but I do hope ...

Possibly you should really be saying the bar appears to work because you didn't notice any flexing!

The good news is that he promised me a new boat ..!! Although I hadn't seen the boat or the pic's it does sound like we are...

Re: Nordkapp LV suggestion?

Aw that is just inexcusable, especially when I compare it to my Alaw, which looks like it is sculpted from a block of polished basalt! Looks like they were in a rush and popped it from the mould way to early. Being 100% honest that’s the first time I’ve seen that photo and obviously if I was the cu...

Re: Sea kayak recommedations please

I’m obviously a bit biased but Valley’s new Etain would seem ideal. It’s fast, only fractionally down on the Nordkapp. a boat recognised as one of the fastest expedition boats available. It’s stable, not in a dull beamy way but certainly stable enough for reasonable paddlers to feel secure enough to...

Re: Valley Etain

Hi, Regarding the Etain, we’re running to keep up here at Valley but the good news is the Etain is now finally in production. In fact the first batch of composite boats has already left for the West Coast of America, much to the relief of our West Coast distributor! However with back orders, numbere...

Valley Does Archaeology

Last summer whilst doing some maintenance around the back of our old workshop I noticed the end of a mould half buried in brambles, half under a build up of dirt. Now having old moulds lying around is par for the course in the fibreglass world, what with designs changing and old moulds being replace...

Hi all, We do appreciate the interest in the new site, however considering it only went live last week with a very clear statement that it was work in progress I think a couple of posts recently are unduly harsh, verging on malicious. When made live we made a very clear statement that it would take ...

Re: Valley's new website now available

Hi All, As per my post on another thread yes the website is now live. I have to stress we have only today had it turned over to us to finish populating and editing the various sections so some areas still need work. The new site has been created with a CMS system avoiding the problems of updating an...

Re: Is something wrong at Valley...

Yes, Happy New Year from all at Valley. The New Website is going live latter today (11/01/2010), I know for many including ourselves, this has been too long in coming but at last here we are. Whilst the site will now be live we are still in the process of populating some areas, so if you find a page...

Firstly the picture was just a stock-shot used by the graphic artist when he first started working on the site. Re: Johnson Outdoors “Re-evaluating” Lendal Paddles????

I guess it will all come down to the price tag. It is no secret that Johnson paid serious money for Lendal. Will they take what would be a massive hit and take a price based on Lendal’s current value or just sideline the brand and hope to resurrect it in better financial times?

It's quite simple really Jack, there's not even a need to demo! - Get a nomad 8.0!! Re: Mainstream WW boat manufacturers going composite!

Whilst there is a lot to be said for composite kayaks the problem, especially in a white water environment, is durability. At least in Slalom, WW racing and surf coming into contact with rocks is considered an accidental, although occasionally unavoidable occurrence. With a creak or freestyle boat i...

Re: PH capella history ?

As for spares, try P&H directly, they were/are moulded by the same company that moulds the Valley hatches and I beleve P&H might still have some products moulded there. There is no reason for the moulds not to be available and the required production runs are very small so they should still be able ...

Re: PH capella history ?

The square hatch Capella was launched in 96 in single layer plastic, a couple of years later the switch was made to triple layer moulding, although the mould and therefore shape/dimensions remained the same. The new shape three-hatch version was designed just before the Pyranha takeover but launched...
