How many boats fit in a jumbo van?

Hi all, We’re off to Slovenia in the summer and are trying to work out how many people we can bring. Title sums it up really! We’re trying to hire a high roof, extra long wheelbase Mercedes sprinter (or similar) and need to work out how many white water (probably creek) boats we can fit in. Best gue...

Re: Czech Republic for our summer trip?

Thanks both. That video. I’ve seen some tree filled ditches in my time, but that was carnage.

I should have said, it’s an **early** summer trip. So what’s running in May/June?

Czech Republic for our summer trip?

We’re thinking of heading off the beaten track (slightly) this summer for a club trip. I’m looking into the Czech Republic, but can’t find much info about the WW paddling except: 1. It’s a fairly early season (how early?) 2. There’s a single trip report on here (albeit from 20 years ago) 3. The Devi...

Thanks for your thoughts guys, much appreciated.

We're currently aiming for a fortnight in Nepal, with a backup option of a week in Portugal. Will let you know how it pans out!

Where runs in March?

Hey all, A group of us have some time during the first 2 weeks of March for an overseas paddling trip, but are wondering where is running. Any tips? We're a decent group of 4 boaters looking to paddle grade 4. Distance and cost not necessarily an issue. Top suggestions so far are: Nepal - a bit earl...

Aquapac levers

Somehow I managed to snap one of the levers on my aquapac closing clip this weekend. No idea how! Anyway, aquapac have insisted on sending me a completely new pouch, which is very kind of them (great customer service, recommended!), but it seems like a shame to bin the old one. Anyone know of a supp...

I had a fly around today in my little plane - it's still there! Apparently they were planning to shift her today, but were kyboshed by the same high winds that cut my jolly short. Burn Medium (mk1) for sale

For sale is my medium Pyranha Burn (mark 1) in blue. Generally in decent condition for it's age, with all the usual scratches. I've tried to capture these as well I can in the photos. A couple of the scratches are slightly deeper than the rest, but nothing serious and no deep gouges or dents. It's n...

Re: Palm Axis Extreme BA/PFD

Bump!

Don't be put off by the size, I bought the largest as it's got the max buoyancy. As far as I'm aware, it's the same physical size as the rest of the range, albeit with slightly longer straps.

Yep Chris, still for sale.

I'm in Portsmouth at the moment, but will be back in Bristol next weekend, if you want to pick it up (preferable for me as I know you're happy with it)?

Or would you rather post it?

Thanks for your reply Neil - sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I was paddling all weekend! Palm Torrent Drysuit (L) For Sale

For sale is my Palm Torrent drysuit in size large. Bought a couple of seasons ago, and used fairly lightly as I've been out of the country for at least 50% of each season! Has kept me warm and dry at every opportunity, and (like all my gear) has been washed out in fresh water, dried and stored out o...

Palm Axis Extreme BA/PFD

For sale is my Palm Axis Extreme buoyancy aid in XL-XXL. This is for anyone above 70kgs, and has the maximum buoyancy. Generally good condition, as everything works and is original, but it is used (as per the pics). Still floats and has plenty of life left in it! As with all my kit, it has been wash...

Re: Wrist Pain

I'm not a doctor or qualified in any medical sense, but have had a similar experience. A few years ago I would get serve left wrist pain after any extended (4hrs+) paddle (interestingly enough, first noticed on the Tryweryn). It go so bad that it started reoccurring after most paddles (even short on...

Re: Tryweryn pay and play

Well I never used the Tryweryn before it was free, and I always paid for parking once I started using it. My only effective form of protest now is to refuse to pay anything whatsoever to CT, in the hope that they do indeed go out of business. Morally, to accomplish this, I will simply not use the T...

Thanks again for the replies!
