Jackson happy feet and happy seat thruster combo.
Have found a Jackson happy seat and thruster combo and a happy feet sitting in the shed. Not sure on the size of the happy feet but I would imagine it is the smaller one as I am quite a bit fella. Was shocked to see the price of these new comes to over a hundred quid these days! The happy feet is pr...

Re: Resoect the old school.
Anything that can flat spin that wave cant be considered old school in my opinion.
Old school should be a term restricted to displacement hull playboating.

Could they be making the first pyranha plastic freestyle surf kayak..along the lines of the Squashtail or Element..Now there's an Idea! They did one in glass years back, it was, I seem to remember, optimised for river waves but Ben White brought one out to Lanzarotee with us one Christmas, went ver...

Re: Who needs to launch new boats?
Probably not popular but I'd like Dragorossi to do a new playboat, loved my Fish but my knees just can't cope with the seating position. It's probably more correct to say I'd like Corran Addison to design a new playboat - I've loved his designs from the Glide onwards but he's too busy playing with S...

Re: "OLD SKOOL IS KOOL" THE BEST BOATS
It was flat spins that the Glide changed the rules on. Before the Glide there wasn't really a boat that would do them on a green wave. Corran came along and shoved it in their faces and so they down graded the score for a flat spin.( I believe they were scored higher than a cartwheel at the time) If...

How about squirt boats Giles? I'm probably more comfortable in my Submarine than in my float boat these days. Any reason why a few of us can't potter down from Notts and do the assessments half underwater?

Re: Gadget on the Bullitt X S
Suicide blocks are very common in squirt boating circles. They are not really used for anti implosion duties as the boats are so low cut that the spraydeck could probably stretch enough to touch the hull anyway. They are used more to keep the paddlers knees and thighs in position. A squirt boat bein...

Ok, it's been sat in the attic since buying my Kor and is just gathering dust so seeing as how I will probably never use it again I'm gonna lower the price. £375 including boat bag! It's a downtime Whisper in Union flag colours, has a carbon bow with built in screw mounts for a go pro. It's built fo...

Re: Drone Strike!!
Be wary of going FPV - 5.8mhz that Fatshark use will not penetrate the earth at all so you can't for example fly round a gorge corner and even dense trees etc will severely limit the signal. For boat chasing etc you are probably best off using a transmitter mounted screen to check the cameras view a...

Re: Post your suspected sink spots here!
Possibly a classic... but low force on the Tees...? anyone ever been there with a sinker?? On Sunday I took my Perception Fox for a blast down the upper (yes it was too low!) but when we got to low force the seam between the boof drop and the 'choss' drop in the pool was one of the best pirouette /...

Re: PLAYBOATS FOR BIG BOATERS
Hello everyone, I have a few similar questions: I currently paddle a Bliss Stick Rad 195 and am quite happy with it. However, at my weight of 15 to 15.5 stone (95 to 98 kg) I feel that the boat lacks a bit of pop when I try to do loop based moves. My questions are only related to park and play free...

Re: Post your suspected sink spots here!
I'll kick it off with Trent Lock on, unsurprisingly, the Trent. I'm normally there at levels above 3.0m but a recent trip at a much lower level left me thinking that it could be a good spot at a summer level, the weir has a block in the middle that I suspect may cause a convergence in the middle of ...

Post your suspected sink spots here!
This last year or two has seen the opening of a few new seems all over the UK. Telfords Trove, Otters Pocket and Beeston Weir all spring to mind. Most of these were spotted by squirt boaters/ paddlers and either knowledge passed to squirt boaters and investigated by squirt boaters. So how many times...

Re: Anyone seen...
Sorry, should've said that the opinion on chops is for a downtime boat. That said, the new Kors and Slips are also probably the most capable flat water boats going and they are generally cut very low. An older style of boat like the Asylum, Shred or Karma would probably not move about on the water w...

Re: Anyone seen...
A ok chop, in my opinion, would be with the majority of the boat under the surface with the spray deck remaining dry. A good chop would be with the deck sitting just below the surface of the water. A great chop would be with the deck two to three inches below the surface. A suicide chop would be the...
