On the stern it can feel like its catching if you plug something then you get the lemon pip effect: Like a lemon pip squeezed between your fingers and you blast off out of the hole. accelerates on landing, has caught me out on tighter technical stuff thats a bit backed up. Re: Pyrenees dam releases in June

I paddled on the Aude a few years back. Just inside France. Gorge St Pierre D'leys. River Aude. French Pyrenees. It was dam release, they rafted it most days through the summer. I forget who the raft company was though. they let me borrow some kit. see here: http://3bsports.blogspot.co.uk/2010/09/bl...

A bit of video from early in Jan. The East Lyn went up to 3 on the Watersmeet gauge under the bridge. Not too many trees, just a few low branches on the Badgworthy water section but non that required a portage, just the sheep gates.

Re: Stratos questions

The little grey sprung lever is part of the leg lifting device when they use this seat in other models. Its not used for the Stratos. The front edge of the seat is lifted by the straps at the sides. The groove behind the cockpit can be used to place a paddle in if you use a paddle float for re-entri...

Re: Kayak suggestions

Hi. Don't bother with a burn. An everest is what you want. An Everest is much much too big for me it's an expedition boat really. I found the burn coped with everything I gave it I can't see any reason for extra volume. Thanks all the same In the new Burn series. The Burn Large is not overly large ...
