GUIDE TO THE RIVER AIRE
(Aire Wave)
NAME OF RIVER: Aire Wave
WATER LEVEL, ACCESS AND HAZARD UPDATES:Here.
WHERE IS IT?: Near Oulton, to the South East of Leeds.
PUT-INS/ TAKE-OUTS: From the A639 take the A642 and turn right down Fleet Lane. Follow the road over the Aire and Calder Navigation and park at the end next to the Oil Storage Depot at SE381283 (Multimap). Walk along the path SSE, beside the Aire, downstream to the weir. Directions on Google Maps.
APPROX LENGTH: Playspot.
TIME NEEDED: As long as you like!
ACCESS HASSLES: Unknown.
WATER LEVEL INDICATORS: Getting the right level is essential, as if it is too high it forms a walled-in hole. See photos for right and wrong levels!
The wave will run from 1.35m on the Fleet Weir online gauge.
GRADING: Playwave.
MAJOR HAZARDS/ FALLS: Dangerous if too high. Pollution may cause sickness!
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: In the right levels this forms a very big glassey wave - enjoy!
OTHER NOTES: Remember to keep your mouth closed!

Hope the info is of use but it does need lots of water to be an option to much though and it turns into the stopper from hell.
To be honest its im surprised its not a well known as its a great wave but ive seen it twice as big than in the video.
