Moriston River Race
Moriston River Race
If you’ve read the previous post re the ERR you’ll know the ERR is now no longer.
The Moriston is, arguably, the same grade but the difference is 100% guarantee water!
MRR, May or June 2012 River Moriston. Same principle as the ERR…

Re: Moriston River Race
Plans / arrangements / organisation / talks are still being hatched out. However, we are still on course.
For those paddling the Moriston this year get practice on the top section, both sides of the top drop. As for the lower section, the same applies. Get practice in nailing the top drop river left…you have been warned.
Not for the fait hearted…MRR!

Re: Moriston River Race
James - do you mean practise going either side of the slot on the top drop or taking the river right channel which rejoins just below the drop?
Done any NE/NW rivers not on the site? PM me!

Jim, if the plan comes to fruition and we can work on both sections of the river, top and bottom. Competitors, for the bottom section, will be sent both sides. The meaty grade V side and the easier G3-IV side.

Re: Moriston River Race
For those heading to the WWPF it might be worth, if you plan to take part in the MRR, boat both sides of the island on the top section. Right and left of the top drop!

Any info about the MRR? The link just redirects to the SCA homepage and I can't find any info anywhere on the site? Sorry if I've missed something obvious..

Re: Moriston River Race
A freind and I are coming up for the race from the London area. We plan to leave around 5pm on Thurday May 3rd, paddle somewhere Fri and Sat, do the race Sunday and then drive back on Monday May 7th. There is room in the car for 2 more people. Is anyone out there from around London going up for the race or want to go up for a few days of boating in Scotland?
Cheers

Re: Moriston River Race
The Big Dog MRR is almost upon us! 50 to 20 to 1!
Out of the prizes is the bragging rights, the prize? If not free entry to the ADIDAS Sickline 2012 event? Or is it the IR gear.
Find out more here...
If you want to help on the MRR get in touch!

It's kicking off! The bluff, double bluff, slagging, who's he, do they know who I am, you're not paddling that and all that jazz on Facebook.
Remember, it's all fair in love and war! Next weekend it all starts...
