Lomo Evolution Dry Cag

The Lomo Evolution Dry Cag (ww.ewetsuits.com/acatalog/Spray_Tops1.html) seems quite cheap (for a drycag), does anyone have one, is it any good or is it a case of get what you pay for?

Cheers

I know a couple of people that use them and they love the cag. It seems to be high quality kit at a very reasonable price.

I brought one a couple of months ago and it's great. It seems to be really good quality and it's great being dry at the end of a trip.

The only problem I've had is the neck chaffing which is supposed to be quite a common problem with any dry cag/suit - but I think I need to cut a bit off the neck and/or use an additional neck seal that someone on this forum recommended I use.

I ordered my cag before 3pm one day and it was delivered the next. I've also ordered wet suit shoes and a couple of other bits and they are always quick to arrive.

I bought one at christmas and I'm very happy with it so far. I've remained completely dry on all the river trips I've been on since then and it's still beading water well.

Excellent value for money, being of comparable quality to something nearly twice the price!

Brill bit of kit. Shame that the only colour was bright yellow when I got mine. I made the mistake of opening it at work where it was immediately named my 'gimp suit'.

I bought a Lomo dry cag back in November and only noticed two slight problems.

1/ The waist baffle let in water at the top/back when the spraydeck waist wicked. It looked to me as if the thin nylon inner waist section seal to the main cag was not totally watertight. The front was fine so I just sealed the back with some wetsuit glue, from the inside. Since then and (sad to say) with a couple of swims, it has kept me very dry.

2/ The other thing I noticed is that the coating on the luminous piping (very retro) has worn off quite quickly and now looks a little scrappy. It does not appear to make any difference to the performance of the top though.

As you can tell from the slight repair, I like the cag a lot and preferred to fix it, rather than send it back. In comparison, my wife has Reed Chill Cheater top which was only £20 (or so) more, is just as dry but does feel a little warmer. Both good tops from my experience.

My friend uses this cag and he thinks it's brilliant also. He also says the movement is good and the fact that you stay dry.
I personally use the nookie extreme cag, what for me is just as good. At the moment I think it's got a price drop at the wetsuit outlet, I think its £100 now?

Glad you all like the cag.
We are able to sell our kit at a lower cost than other manufacturers because we design and manufacture it ourselves and only sell direct to the public rather than selling it to retailers who in turn sell in on to the public. This allows us to sell our kit at a more realistic price.
As with all our equipment we really appreciate feedback on it as this is what we use to improve on it. Even simple things like colours.

Cheers
