Kayaking the English Channel support Vessel

Postby Full Throttle Boats » Sat Jun 09, 2012 7:30 am

Hi,

We have some of your members crossing the English Channel using our support vessels this summer. They recommended posting on here as there may be more of you wanting to do this challenge and looking for escort boats. We are based in Rye on the East Sussex coast very near Dungeness which is a perfect departure point away from the ferries at Dover. The crossing distance is the same as well.

We have done numerous trips of this nature

If your interested you can see details here http://www.fullthrottleboatcharters.com ... h-channel/

Many thanks

I am interested in doing this at some time I checked your site and saw the the cost of 1 boat for the crossing is in the region of £700.

What ratio of kayaks to a safety boat do you operate if I wanted to get a team together to do this and split the costs ?
What other costs are involved to arrive at in individual cost per person ?

I asume we would need to get the ferry back for the return journey rather than hitching a lift with you.
