I appreciate some of you have already seen this but we made it our entry for the Kayak Session short film competition . There are some awesome edits up there already, (one in particular I cant stop watching) I would love it if you gave us the best chance possible by viewing our home grown edit:

The first minute I did not enjoy. Watching someone vomit out the boot of car is not something I want to see. Ever.
Personally, I think you'd have a better chance of winning if you took that bit out.

But, you'll be glad to know, the negativity ends there.

Some good shooting angles, cool looking rivers and some interesting lines!

Great wee video that shows some of the many awesome rivers that Scotland has to offer.

One question though, does the Falls of Lora feature in it? It says so in the description but I didn't see any (although I did skip the first and last bits for reasons stated above!)

Keep up the good work!

All fair comments
It was meant to project all angles of kayaking culture, which includes hangovers. This happens on alot of kayaking trips but never features in many videos, just thought it gave it some character. A bit like "why would you watch a horror film when most people hate blood and guts?"
Falls of Lora was paddled but no film taken, the description was of the weekend in question as a whole.

Thanks for the feedback Ian

Disagree! I've spent more than a couple of mornings hanging on the side of a Scottish river after the Clachaig (and post-Clachaig). The answer to that "oh god why?" feeling is "Scotland". And being a dick and filming that moment? Mirth.
(Editing is cracking too! Love the pace of action)

Enjoyed that. How high up the Nan Eildh did you go? There's a sketchy 15-m waterfall up there if anyone fancies it, plus some nice (and not-so-nice) looking slidey things...

Banzer

We hiked up about 1.5km, is the fall more of a narrow slide? How far up is this the 15m fall in question?

One of the better ditches I have done.

I think if you had gone another couple of hundred yards you might have got there! Tricky ledge to negotiate 1/3 the way down- enough water should do it. Plunge pool looked deep, but I didn't dive it:

Next one of note: entry is a portage, but you could put on at the corner and looks like quite a cool slide out of it:

And the first main drop on the creek looks really nice:

One of my targets when I lived in FW but there were so many 'proper' rivers that I struggled to round up fellow ditch-bashers! I'd be interested to know if anyone has done the whole section. A few portages but not too many, at the right level I reckon.

Such a shame we did not get up to that. We made the decision to get in were we did due to the sketchy walking and at risk we could of just took our boats for a walk. Looks good to go though, and probably would have went on the day!

Thanks for the beta, next time.....
