We are currently in the process of looking into insurance for all of our club kit I was wondering if anybody on here had any suggestions as to what companys are worth looking at.

Re: Uni Kit insurance
Have you asked the AU? Most University Athletic Unions provide insurance fro their clubs. I think ours is with Endsleigh.

Thanks for the reply. The insurance we get through our SU only covers our kit within the lockup and does not cover us on trips etc.

Re: Uni Kit insurance
I organised this for our club just last year. The top two were NW Brown and Towergate Mardon. In the end we went for the latter. PM me if you need further info / email addresses etc.
However in the end we opted not to insure our gear out and about, and just went for 3rd party fire and theft in the 'lock-up'. If you calculate the cost of a claim (excess + loss of no-claims discount), even in year one it almost isn't worth claiming for a single boat, even a top spec brand new creek boat. It only becomes worth it when you have a significant number of boats / kit stolen or destroyed in one incident, and we figured this just isn't likely on a trip. We decided we needed to insure ourselves only against a significant proportion of our stock being done-over, which is most likely only if the lock-up burns to the ground or is broken in to.
Of course if you're on a trip using a boat trailer - ie all your eggs in one basket - you could be in a different situation (our club boats are spread across many cars on a trip). Also, we can afford to replace half a dozen boats should the worst happen on a trip - its only the loss of the whole lock-up which would break us. This again might be different for you guys.
Good luck with the sums!
