Trip to Lake Garda -Help...

Postby edmc » Wed May 16, 2012 11:20 pm

Hi,

Work is organising a multi activity trip to Lake Garda, (most probably the Nago Torbole area), and I have been spamed with sorting Kayak hire (instructors are sorted).

Have any of you done this before and do you have any recommendations and tips?

I will be looking to hire 6 of each of the following:

Kayaks,
Right Handed Paddles,
PFD's,
Spray Decks,
Helmets.

Thanks in advance.

What sort of paddling is it? Flat or moving?

Lots of windsurf places at the north end of the Lake which should be able to rent some of the above equipment to you. I took a busload of soldiers there five years ago - I will try to find my post trip report, which has loads of details for accommodation etc - PM me your email address and I will see about sending a copy over. From memory- there is a good campsite at Lago di Ledro, which is next to a small lake, which would be ideal for complete beginner stuff.
