Freya Hoffmeister free book

Postby nigelhatton » Tue May 08, 2012 12:27 pm

For anyone wanting inspiration for a multiday sea kayak trip then I have one book called "Fearless" you can have for free. She paddled around Australia in under a year.

just reply saying you want the book and I'll send it off to someone in a week.

We should agree that whoever gets the book should send it on to the next one who wanted it when they're finished. That way maybe the book of the circumnavigation of Oz can, itself, do a circumnavigation of Britain.

Yes you are quite right, I was thinking about that last night. The first person can send it on to the next, hopefully!

There is a slight difference between ambitious and confident and being arrogant. Sportsmen & women at the top of their game tend to be a bit different from the rest of us - it takes all kinds but that shouldn't detract from their achievements. I've heard Freya talk before (she comes across less "germanic" when speaking her native language), and whilst she seems particularly confident and self assured, she has reason to be I suppose. JMHO

P.S. that would be kayaksandbeer next I suppose?
Cheers,

The author of the book has views about FH, which I imagine have influenced stewh's comments. Suffice to say, it's not a work of hagiography...
