ABINGDON BLASTATHON 2012 Date

Due to the unspeakably low water levels we are bringing the date of this year`s ABINGDON BLASTATHON from the traditional June date to SATURDAY 12th MAY. Blast Off at Abingdon Weir at 5pm (or thereabouts).
Itz a kinda laid back affair. King of the Blast gets The Chris Wheeler Memorial Trophy (Chris was a great supporter of the event) and there`s loadza wacky prizes.superman

Due to the unspeakably high water levels ABINGDON BLASTATHON is now returning to its original date of SATURDAY JUNE 16th. 5PM when we hope Abingdon Weir will once again br blastologically sound.
Hmm just hope there`s no more weather surprises

WOW!! Due to the unspeakably unreliable weather and water we have to postpone the ABINGDON BLASTATHON from this Sat to SATURDAY JUNE 30th at ABINGDON WEIR, at 5pm, when we sincerely hope that at long las the weir will be blastrologically sound again.

I knew it was all going too well. After a test blast last night in which I took a good few minutes to extricate myself from one of the whirlpool eddies, it was the general opinion that ABINGDON WEIR was still too high to run an inclusive Blastathon this Sat. Very frustrating year, sorry to all BUT the new date has been set for SATURDAY AUGUST 18th. When y`all back from the Alps and we hope the weir levels have normalised. GO DIARY the date and see you there.

At last!! Abingdon weir is coming into blastologically sound condition- The twice postponed ABINGDON BLASTATHON will take place THIS SATURDAY AUGUST 18th. Blast Off 5pm at Abingdon Weir. Old school and wacky new outrageous moves. Chris Wheeler Memorial Trophy as well as wacky prizes.superman
