WANTED river runner/creek boat Glasgow area

I have been playing about with sevylor inflatable kayaks long enough and a space in the shed is now available that I can now get myself a river runner / creek boat

Does anyone have one for sale in the Glasgow area

My budget is about £400 for boat paddle spraydeck

Will travel 1 hour outside Glasgow for collection

The boat would be too small for you, you would be looking at large size boats, when only two sizes or possibly some medium boats in three size range, but I think even then large. It depends on your experience and what you want to do with it. Have a look at Burns or Mambas, as pure river runners/creekers, or boats designed for river running/play such as Recoil, Flirt etc, there are tons of them in a whole range of prices. Basically a creek boats are big volume boats designed for running steep, hardcore rivers (Liquid logic Stomper, Dagger Nomad etc).

River runners are slightly less volume and usually shorter to be more manoeuvrable and more fun but they might bite you in the arse if you take them down something big and you don't know what you're doing where as a creek boat might forgive you (Pyranha ammo, Liquid logic hoss, wavesport diesel). they are also slower than creek boats.

River play boats are even shorter and even less volume than river runners to make running rivers even more fun but will bite you in the arse even more! My first boat was a river play... (dagger juice, fluid flirt, pyranha varun, wavesport fuse).

Then you have play boats. Super short and very low volume deigned for playing on waves and busting moves left right and centre! They are a more advanced boat and I would recommend avoiding one to start with... (dagger force, jackson all-star, pyranha molan)

I would recommend either a river runner or a river play and I know its only a guide line but most manufacturers offer a weight range for their boats so check that out for a rough guide if you will fit but you will definitely be a large in most boats.
A liquid logic hoss wouldn't be a bad move...
