Who is going to sell paddles at the Anglesey symposium?

Postby Yellow Curtains » Thu Apr 26, 2012 6:08 pm

Does anybody know who is going to sell paddles at the May symposium? I need to make contact in advance.

I bought a cheap and good Werner paddle from a stand last year. This year, I´d like to contact them in advance to make a pre-order, but have no idea who they were. The stand stood on the left side of the road, close to the outdoor centre, and of course I asked SeakayakingUK already.

Anybody got an idea? In case I just met the salesman, what I´m after is a glass fibre Werner Sidekick, neutral bent, normal non-split shaft, zero feather angle, around 2 metres. And, of course, at a low (British) price.

Summit to Sea were set up just outside the centre last year.

Thank you very much, Ocean Paddler magazine! Sea to Summit sounds familiar and I have contacted them; I need some luck in order to get that paddle ready made with zero feather angle though. There is a foam core inside those paddle shafts. My last paddle, I half destroyed while rotating the halves with a heating gun.

Ocean Paddler, Sea to Summit don´t have Werner. Desperate Measures had Werner, and they´re not coming this year. Not much hope to get away cheap with that paddle it seems...

YC, we are coming across, if it's what you want send us an email, fiona@1stwetwild.co.uk, if Werner have them in stock I could see what I can do.

Thanks both Carpyken and Angleseystick. I think I´m misusing this part of the forum now, so drop me a PM for any follow-ups? Carpyken helps me out with a river blade. Angleseystick, greenland paddles made me go for zero in the river too - having broken the old one I´m after a 10 cm constant width blade, thick loom, symmetrical, simply made. I´m 185 cm.
