Met Office WOW

Just came across this... http://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/
Hourly rainfall data for the entire UK with hundreds of stations, I'm guessing this could be pretty useful!
Anyone use this already?

I have not used it before, but I will be now. Good find.

There are some pretty useful features, you can drive down into individual stations and generate graphs for any stat you want over a week / month timeframe. What is really good is that you can also compare it to another station. Im not sure how well the embedded link will work but heres an example showing accumalated rainfall around Oxford.

http://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/graphdata?siteID=17917124&requestedAction=REQUEST&graphType=graphs&startDate=16%2F04%2F2012&endDate=23%2F04%2F2012&timeFrame=oneWeek&comparisonSite=24527164&measurement=rainfall

It appears to be mostly data aggregated from enthusiasts home weather stations, there are some notable blank areas, like dartmoor (maybe somone could convince RDCP to get a weather station)

As you can tell, im a big weather geek, so I like this a lot.

Nice site, especially the snow layer. We are lucky up here with the SEPA data on fishpal or wheresthewater.
