Anyone recommend a double sided A3 size map case for use on front decks ?
Cheers.

I mostly print and laminate my own but on the odd occasion I have been known to use an "Ortlieb Map Case". It works a treat and doesn't leak, but I would say that the one I have is closer to A4 size. Mind you A4 is probably adequate for most decks.

Sealline seems to be a good case to get:

I have an Ortlieb one and it's rubbish.

Hi,
Another vote for Ortleib map cases. They really do the job and come in a wide variety of sizes. In many years of using them for hillwalking and kayaking, there hasn't been any leakage.
Kind regards
Ian

Really ! Maybe you should send it back. Mine is over 20 years old and I have never had a problem. More information on this thread :

Got ortlieb one also and have no prods. I got an a3 size but to be honest I think that's too big as I always usually end up folding it in half. I think an a4 would allow enough 1" OS map area to be displayed, enough for kayaking anyway.

I'm not sure if he sells them or if you just have to be special to get one, but Axel Shoevers makes an amazing map/chart case. Sorry Axel if I've blown your cover......

Another vote for Ortlieb - A3 size for me. Easier than trying to take charts out, refold and put back in on the water.

Seal Line for me. But, it is large and does need folding in half but it's soft enough to do that or roll the edges in.
Not used an Ortlieb so can't comment.

Ortleib document case - superb. The first one I had yellowed quite badly, as they were prone to do - it was replaced without question, and that was some years ago now. The replacement has a very slight tinge now - but still perfectly usable. Mike.
