A cold and wet start to the day, which surprisingly ended up into a very sunny and pleasant paddle. More Terns seen and my first sighting of this year’s Swallows. Lunch spot
Ken Second trip, it’s a completely different kayak to my GT; I find that it gets better as the conditions get worse. I must confess I am a rudder convert; you never alter your paddle stroke, although I need some WD40 on the pedals sounds as if I have some pets below! The main thing I find is again it just eats up the miles very fast.
Greg I have had them for some time, managed to kid my youngest and stated that my Mrs had washed some trousers incorrectly...you had to be there. There fine and protect the deck, I have had no problems with them at all, there not Reeds not sure I’ll check re manufacturer.
Haven't seen any Swallows yet this year. There are a few Wheatears on the hills here in Cumbria; one of the first summer visitors to arrive. Saw my first Terns of the year on the River Duddon estuary today. Summer must be on the way.
