Sea to Loch Morar

Could some one please give me some advice on how easy it would be to get a sea kayak from the beach to Loch Morar on your own.

Thanks

I presume you mean from Tarbet, its over 1km of a fairly rough track rises up about 80m. you ll need a sturdy trolley wheels bigger the better

No, from the other end. Off the beach and over the road.

Have a look on Google maps (the aerial view) here. You can zoom-in fairly well, and will see there's a small dam. Take the virtual tour on the ground too! Once you're safely beyond the dam there are places to launch, and you'll see various largish boats moored slightly further on.

There's a stretch of whitewater below the dam, so a bit of a walk... a trolley would be advised!

If you get the tide in you should be able to get under the main road (A830) and take out directly onto the B8008, follow it upstream turning right for Bracora and launching as soon as you can find a way down clear of the pull to the dam.
If you can't get under the A830, take out on the south side of the river - there is a steep sandy bank from the beach to the parking place so you might need to enlist help from a tourist to get the boat up. It looks as though there is an underpass to avoid a short walk along the A830 (traffic can be fast). I reckon a trolley is essential.

It is many years since I walked out from Loch Morar (A830 bridge may not have even been there), I have launched and landed from the spot below the bridge more recently (maybe 10 years ago?) so I had to use google streetview to jog my memory.
