Uber-mug?

Postby Mark R » Sun Mar 04, 2012 8:37 pm

Last night I won this in a raffle (at the Banff Mountain Film Festival's Poole showing)...

Much as I'm pleased to win something (anything), I'm slightly bemused as I have no idea what the point of this thing is. The extensive accompanying bumf seems to suggest that I've won the Holy Grail of kayaking gear, but it looks like a normal plastic beaker to me. Am I missing something?

Any other pointless gear folk want to share?

I see it retails for around £6 not including P&P for that price I assume it attracts other mugs

At six quid I'd expect it to fill itself with coffee and climb up to my lips!

No, but it has a patent pending hex shaped base, which is cool to touch. Must be worth a bob or two shirley...

Nylon of course will absorb a small amount of water, I think about 5%, which will make it expand slightly, and presumably reduce the amount of tea you get to drink.

Hang on, do I have some Nylon paddles?

Never mind the mug you are a lucky boy to be in Banff there must still be skiing to be had and Lake Louise is worth a visit just for the scenery IMO

I don't think Mark was in Banff, just at a reshowing of the films in Poole.
