Was a few inches off the ledge when we left yesterday. It was the busiest I have ever seen the Loop in 20 years. Perhaps I just haven't paddled at weekends much, or perhaps people just don't search out other, quieter rivers any more.... Or perhaps the Loop was the only thing running yesterday...

We ran the Teign on saturday, just a handful of people running it, its worth a look at medium levels quite technical with nice st of Salmon Steps. Loop was rammed yesterday, we got on at 9am, my lad done a 2nd run at speed about 12.30 and passed well over 100 paddlers all queing to run a feature.

Looking at the Forecast and the current level, even if it doesn't rain tomorrow, there will be at least a healthy base flow on Saturday.

Comming down from the far north this weekend.....

Thinking of the u.dart/loop on Saturday, Erme/dart on Sunday. Any local thoughts on if there is enough water to do this? Good levels? High end, low end?

Many thanks for any information!

Neil - good to see you again, it looks like we will get rain tonight and tomorrow. Loop and Upper will be ok tomorrow and so might be the Erme early on, would think it might be a bit low on Sunday for the Erme though.

What time will you get down ?.

Levels would guess medium tomorrow (maybe bit better), with medium low on Sunday, but would be more than happy to be wrong and underestimate.

Pretty much everything seems to be running this morning (even the East Okement, which will be dropping quick once rain stops), except the Plym...

More rain due on South Dartmoor on Sunday morning.

Chas' predictions were pretty much spot on. Today's rain went up the channel rather than over Dartmoor, so next weather system looks like Tuesday.

At 7.20 this morning the entire slab was covered. There was pools either side of third arch but a few inches off running through it.

Still dropping.

Question is how many steps it peaked on at midnight? West Dart had dropped a full metre off the overnight peak by 7:20am. Did you have a good run Liam? I was at work by 7:20am :-(

Looking at the gauge above, West Dart has come back up again this morning.

Good run on The Loop this morning.

Was lapping over the slab at 10ish but probably dropping as we paddled as no rain during the morning.

Dart is rising rapidly. But not massive. Not too much rain forecast. Proberly lapping ledge 2moro morning, unless it rains appears from somewhere?

Yealm, Walkham & Erme peaked about 6 to 7pm, so not great for south side of moor, however, Dart was still rising then, Tamar was big at 11pm & Teign was peaking then.

Overnight drizzle has kept the Dart on the ledge, Erme looks okay too.

Heavy rain between 6 & 10pm has kept the Dart on the ledge (peaked about midnight).

Dart is up on the steps, Tavy also quite high & East Okement & Plym just paddleable about 6am, but rain hasn't hit south Dartmoor so hard.

I did see that thread but thought as this is the levels update page it would be a good place to document the level for today as reference.
