Contamination at top sea kayaking locations by fish farms using toxic pesticides. Detailed in Sunday Herald to day. Locations mentioned include Loch Linne, loch Nevis, Loch Fyne and The Summer Isles. Prawn fishing may be particularly vulnerable to impact of chemicals used such as teflubenzuron, diflubenzuron and enamectin.

A paper last week reported that scottish fish farms contribute 350 million to the economy, so big lobby there, change unlikely. At least the no fish zone trial at Arran has gone well.
