This is only an idea. Last night I ran a river with a single blade, usual Jackson setup which made it uncomfortable and quit tricky, but I loved it I found it easy to roll and even do basic playboating moves. So this is where you come in! Can anyone advise on the following things:
How to outfit a jackson star for C1
Where to buy a dagger pedestal (or alternative)
Where to buy cheap foam
If the chance is reversible. (no drilling)
Anyone selling a dirt cheap playboat
I know its a lot to ask but if anyone has answers to any of these questions that would be a great help. Or am I asking to much?

Clickity Click, that basic principle should work really well (does for me, albeit not in a star); I would imagine that using a convertion like that (and not glueing anything) you should be able to readily change between K1 and C1 in ~10 mins once you get the hang of getting the k1 seat in and out.
Edit: The "tunnel" description (what I'd call a bulkhead) is a bit vague; If you'd like I'll post advice on how to carve a good one using only a breadknife when I have more time.

There's a bloke in the US called Larry Horne who's made an updated version of it; failing that keep asking persistantly, and be prepared to pay way more than you'd expect for a piece of rotomoulded plastic.

AS Watersports is the cheapest (~£7 a square foot, free delivery); or if you can find others who want foam, any good canoe shop should be able to do you a good deal on bulk foam at around £60 a square meter (10.9square feet).

We (being the collective hivemind that is C-boaters) all had to ask at least one of those questions at least once.

I made a good seat & bulk head for my ronin and had about a foot square left. This stuff in minicell foam.
You want to make your seat 6-7" high otherwise you will get dead legs like me ;)

If you're looking for a dirt cheap playboat to convert then I don't think Larry's composite saddle is in your budget, but happy to pass you the contact info if you want it.

Yeah, probably should have thought of that (He was asking in the $240 region last time I checked); but it's the only thing close to a a dagger saddle (being an improved version of same) on the market.

From under and slightly in front of your crotch to behind your hips. Usually some sewing (or if like me you're perennially rushing to finish the convertion to go boating tomorrow, melting a small hole in and bolting) of the webbing is usually required to create the bit that goes on the floor of the boat in front of you.

That depends, to avoid dead legs you need a saddle high enough to not put any of the weight from your bum onto your heels.
I like you find around 6" comfy; but, my Jefe, slalom boat and squirt boat all use smaller saddles (4in, 3in and 1½in respectively) for stability reasons... It's better to be a little less comfy than to have an unpaddleably tippy boat.
That ebay foam is a good tip; is it wearing well?

There is a guy in Germany who makes custom seats too, for a fairly decent price. His name is Markus Maas, very nice guy (met him once paddling in the surf).
Here's an article with pictures of his seat: http://playak.com/article.php?sid=1128
He also does conversions of boats for pretty reasonable prices, I think he sells new kayaks (hulls) converted to C1 for the same price as a new kayak.

Yeah it probably is far too high, especially for a playboat but Ive got fairly big legs and need the height. I'm going to try and pick up a plastic oc1 at some point, hopefully it'll be wider so I don't need the seat so high.
The foam is bomber as far as I can tell, had it for about 3 months and nothing wrong so far ;)

I sure I remember reading somewhere that Big Dog were offering their C1 fitting kit on its own. No idea on pricing though.
it's not a playboat, it's a river runner

As with their C1's it's best to ring or email and ask...
It would however be irreversable as it involves glassing in a backbone, and drilling holes to mount the aluminium strip holding the bulkhead; so better for us diehard canoeists (or canoers if you like) than for someone who's just starting out.
