Tees at Abbey was big on Tuesday, dropped off to a nice level
Wednesday and looks remarkably similar today. See

Tuesday it was almost up to the level of "mid-January 2004", but
Wednesday and this morning ( 9 a.m. on the school run ) it was about
the level of "January 2nd 2004". It's just starting to drizzle at lunchtime
Thursday, so I'm hoping it stays reasonably well up for our trip on
Sunday...

I should keep quiet. Very big Sunday (although it dropped 40 cm at
Barnard Castle Sills between inspecting at 8:30 am and reaching there
on our paddle a few hours later). Cotherstone to Barney all rather
washed out and the dam was the usual long portage. Another foot
lower and the fishladder would have been an acceeptable proposition
with our party (was probably runnable for confident/competent, but
we had beginners...)
