Anyone know what the Lyn is doing? We've had a lot of rain in Dartmoor, has it been the same on Exmoor?

Yeah put on at Brendon about 12:15. Low level but the double drop up the top was good and the gorge was a laugh. Drop at watersmeet was a bit bumpy though. You may have seen us there about 1:30, sitting having lunch by the footbridge. 3 creekers; 1 green jefe, 1 yellow jefe and a yellow and orange java?
Brendon crew have improved on their response time. First contact, at the carpark, was in under a minute! and the main assault came within 3 minutes of pulling up in the car. You have to admire their spirit! the grumpy bastards. They even went for a double bank attack! What choice did we have, when we were surrounded on all sides, but to put on the river? They didn't think of that, did they!

We were the other group,no probs at brendon, todaynone of these people are actually landowners, the village hall car park is actually rented from we think the national playing field assosiation, and they are in danger of commiting a bigger offence than they suggest we are,on the way down we had chat with the head area warden national trust, who was very supportive and really wants to sort stuff out,had good paddle.

Guessing low, but still runnable. We were there on thursday and it was still a good run, so should be ok. Don't think there has been any rain up there though. Check out the link Simon Westgarth posted above, for the rainfall over the last couple of days.

Was a nice medium level Sunday! Water coming over big boulder river right of crux 2 in the gorge. Should be paddleable for a couple of days to come.
