Kimmeridge

There is a forecast of 8-10 foot waves on the South Coast this sunday.

Although it would be not unheard of for this to materialise as a minor ripple, I thought this worth mentioning.

This morning was rather nice; the eventual forecast for a gale(!) but this morning saw blue skies, sunshine and cleanish waves up to eight foot out at the back.

Great morning; nice slow moving shoulders with perfectly timed lulls to paddle out again.

Yep - Great mornings surf- -
Realised it was actually a year ago today- last time we paddled at Kimmeridge!!
I've marked it in my diary for next year ;)

Mark Harris sent me a few pictures from yesterday morning....

I *think* they show the small break just beside the carpark; ie. within range of the camera. The Kimmeridge ledges extend half a mile offshore, so photography there is tricky!

Forecast for surf is looking good for this coming weekend - 10'+. Got to earn more brownie points but could fit it few hours down Kimmeridge way on Saturday or Sunday. Anyone else up for it.

Chas, I don't think we'll be around this weekend...I have a few things still to look up in SW. Most likely we'll be based at the Park this weekend.

Hey Mark - you need an alarm clock like Janet sneezing at 5:30, never fails to wake me up and hard job throwing her out of the window.

Any chance of surf tomorrow at Kimmeridge. Could be down your way at 8:45.

Need to be back in Christchurch by 12:00 that means packing up at 11:00 and starting surf at 9:00, oh sh*t I'll have to leave home at 8:00.

Let me know if your up for an early run.

We headed out for an evening surf with high expectations; sun shining, reasonable swell, not a breath of wind.

But the car didn't start. Flat battery...

No idea what will be happening in the morning (think the wind is shifting direction to the north????), will look at the various weather info sites later and mail you.
