Hi Everyone
I have just moved to the area so am looking to do lots off boating!
We need lots of rain!! But paddling any where on dartmoor must be good.
If there is anyone out there that would be up for doing Rivers or anything
let me know as am keen for any boating around the Dartmoor area.
Cheers

Re: Any Dartmoor Paddlers out there?
Ah, that must be good(!)
If you like white water, you're in one of the best locations in the country.
I'm not jealous - honest.
Try the lower Dart as a good intro, the loop for more excitement, and the upper for more excitement than the Loop(!)
I'm not jealous - well, not too much...
Also local to you, you've got the Walkham, Teign and others for a bit of variety. Plus, if you wanted to do creek boating, lots of 'spate only' tributaries of the above rivers.
OK, I am jealous. :-)
Happy paddling, and sorry if you already know all of the above...
Cheers,
Colin

Dont know where you are based but Totnes Canoe Club do loads of white water trips and have a seperate yahoo group for members to organise trips. Here is a link to an open day, worth going if only to meet people as many experienced paddlers will be there.

Hi Laura,
I dont know if you made it to the TCC open day but there were nearly 70 new faces and if you are local its an ideal way to coach and meet people, (if thats your thing of course) its voluntary coaching but it has lifes benefits and excellent company.
