Paddlers near Galashiels

Hi

This evening I had an interview and job offer for a job in Galashiels. Before I make my mind up about accepting the job I plan on visiting the company on Friday 17th Feb. I was just wondering if there were any nice paddlers in/near Galashiels who wouldn't mind me joining them on the odd trip if I was to move, if so is there any chance of a paddle on Saturday 18th. I find it very difficult to make my mind up about the job and if I found there were good kayaking opportunities it would definitely influence my decision.
