Advice on a Playboat

Postby Tubbsie » Mon Jun 20, 2011 6:01 pm

Hi,
I'm 6'3" but only 65kg, but as I am still only 16 I will be putting more weight on. I'm really getting into doing what playboating I can with my current boat (pyranha z one) but am looking for something more suited to bigger moves.
I would ideally like a park and play boat able to do cartwheels etc and maybe work up to some pop outs. I can fit in things like a dagger juice 7.1, but worried its still got too much volume for me to chuck around.
Any suggestions please?!

Sounds like you're in the same situation as me! I'm 6'4 (long legged) but I weigh more, at 86kg. However I was forever searching a playboat I could use. I went for the Liquid Logic CR125 (River Play) which is great in waves, yet I could never do much flatwater.
In the end I went back to my old G-Force 6'1... I had to drill an extra hole to extend the seat back further, but it works a charm! I know a few taller paddlers who've modified smaller boats to fit.
Wavesport's new boat, the project X 56 I can also fit in (not very comfortably) but it may be slightly large volume for you

This post may also be better placed in another forum though (maybe Inland?)
